2025 Partnership Impact: Advancing Women’s Health Through Sport
During the 2025 season, Fibroid Institute Texas’s investment enabled the Texas Elite Spartans to deliver measurable impact at the intersection of professional women’s sports and women’s healthcare, including:
Dedicated Fibroid educational campaigns across Texas Elite Spartans digital platforms, reaching and engaging 700,000+ people
Direct patient referrals connecting women to fibroid care and treatment resources
A highly successful Women’s Health Game Day, where 800+ attendees received fibroid education, resources, and health information
This work helped normalize conversations around uterine fibroids while providing clear pathways to diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment.

Community Impact Beyond the Game
For the Texas Elite Spartans, serving women and girls is not optional, it is part of the standard.
Throughout the 2025 season, Spartans athletes and staff collectively:
Hosted ee free girls’ football clinics, serving 300+ participants
Completed 100+ hours of community service , with every player and coach giving back to organizations across the Dallas–Fort Worth area
Prioritized charities and programs focused on women’s health, youth development, and girls’ empowerment
This community-first approach aligns seamlessly with Fibroid Institute Texas’s mission to expand equitable, accessible women’s health education statewide.
Women’s Health Leadership That Drives Change
Fibroid Institute Texas is not only a treatment provider, it is a national leader in uterine fibroid awareness, education, and advocacy.
Dr. Suzanne Slonim, recently recognized as a Texas Monthly Super Doctor, played a key role in helping Texas become one of only ten states to officially recognize July as Uterine Fibroid Awareness Month
The Fibroid Institute Texas medical team has completed 40,000+ interventional radiology procedures, helping thousands of women become fibroid-free through minimally invasive, non-surgical treatments
Research estimates that 171 million women worldwide are affected by uterine fibroids, yet many remain undiagnosed or normalize debilitating symptoms
Through leadership, education, and access, Fibroid Institute Texas is changing that narrative—one patient and one community at a time.
Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season
As the Texas Elite Spartans prepare for their most ambitious season yet, including a move to UTA Maverick Stadium, an expanded roster, and travel to major markets such as Washington, D.C., Nashville, and Jackson, Mississippi, this partnership will continue to scale in reach and impact.
The Women’s Health Game Day will return in 2026, again featuring Dr. Suzanne Slonim, ensuring that fibroid awareness and women’s health education remain front and center for fans, families, and the broader community.

A Shared Mission for Women’s Health and Leadership
“Our team sees itself as a critical voice for women in Texas and beyond, and this partnership allows us to pair elite sports with real education, access, and impact.” said Odessa “OJ” Jenkins, Head Coach of the Texas Elite Spartans.
The Texas Elite Spartans are honored to continue this work together and grateful for a partner that believes in informed women, healthy communities, and leadership that extends far beyond the game.
