The 5x National Champion Texas Elite Spartans are bringing the power of football, confidence, and community directly to South Dallas.

On Friday, June 12, the Spartans will team up with South Oak Cliff High School to host a FREE “Got Her Back” Girls Football Camp for girls across South Dallas and surrounding communities. The event will take place from 9AM to 12PM at South Oak Cliff High School and is designed to introduce girls to both flag and tackle football skills while creating an empowering environment built around confidence, teamwork, and belonging.

The camp is made possible through the Women’s National Football Conference’s ongoing partnership with Dove as part of Dove’s Body Confident Sport initiative, a global effort focused on keeping girls in sports and helping young athletes build healthy relationships with their bodies, confidence, and self-image.

The Dick’s Sporting Goods Foundation is generously supporting the camp through their commitment to expanding access, opportunity, and positive youth sports experiences for young athletes and communities across the country.

In addition to the on-field camp experience, on June 9th, the Spartans will also host a free virtual Body Confident Sport Coach Clinic for parents, coaches, teachers, and caregivers. The session will provide practical tools and education designed to help adults create healthier, more confidence-building environments for girls in sports and everyday life.

For many girls in South Dallas, the event will serve as more than just a football camp. It will be an opportunity to see women leading, coaching, competing, and thriving in one of the fastest-growing sports movements in the country.

Throughout the day, participants will receive elite-level instruction from Spartans players and coaches in football fundamentals, including speed and agility, flag football concepts, tackle football techniques, position drills, teamwork exercises, and confidence-building activities. The camp will also include mentorship moments and discussions centered on Dove’s Body Confident Sport initiative.

“This is exactly what the WNFC was built for,” said Odessa OJ Jenkins. “We want girls in our communities to know that football belongs to them too. This is about confidence. It’s about exposure. It’s about giving young girls access to role models who can help them see a bigger future for themselves both on and off the field.”

The “Got Her Back” movement has become one of the WNFC’s most impactful community platforms, bringing football, mentorship, and body confidence programming to girls across the country through partnerships with schools, coaches, and community organizations.

Hosting the camp at South Oak Cliff High School carries added significance for the Spartans organization, which has deep ties to the Dallas football community and a long-standing commitment to expanding opportunities for girls in DFW and beyond.
