Texas Elite Women's Football is proud to announce the signing of All Star linebacker Jelani Kelly. Kelly is one of the most dynamic athletes in all of women's football. For years she has been a key piece of one of the most well respected teams in all of women's football. The prized linebacker was a critical member of the back to back Division II national champion St. Louis SLAM (of the WFA).
Jelani inked a deal with the TX Elite Spartans after a first class display of talent on her recruiting visit to Grapevine, TX last week.
Coach Odessa Jenkins says about Jelani..."Although it hurts us to see a great women's football organization like the St. Louis SLAM take a year off, we are more than excited that it gave us the opportunity to add a player with the qualities and abilities that Jelani possesses. Kelly has an ELITE work ethic and a SPARTAN field sense. She will be a perfect fit for us, and we are excited to see what she can add on both sides of the ball.
You can see Jelani in action with her new teammates at their first home game on May 6 against cross state rivals the Houston Energy at Prestonwood Christian Academy (Lions Stadium) at 3pm.
