Even on a bye week, the Spartans found a way to win.

As the WNFC regular season wrapped up this weekend, all eyes were on the playoff picture, and despite being idle in Week 8, the Texas Elite Spartans emerged as one of the biggest winners. Thanks to a stunning upset that saw the Kansas City Glory fall to the Chicago Winds, the Spartans officially clinched the Central Division title, locking in a 5-1 record and the top seed from the division heading into the postseason.
It marks a triumphant return to the top for Texas Elite, who have reclaimed their crown in one of the league’s most competitive divisions.
From their dominant 61-0 finale against the Houston Mambas to three total shutouts this season, the Spartans reminded everyone why they’ve been a dynasty in the WNFC. Their defense swarmed. Their offense clicked. And now, with the regular season behind them, the mission is clear: win back the IX Cup.
