The Texas Elite Spartans have done it again. With a dominant 36-0 victory over the San Diego Rebellion in the WNFC Western Conference Final, the Spartans secured their sixth consecutive trip to the IX Cup Championship Game, an unprecedented accomplishment in the history of women’s tackle football.

Led by the winningest coach in the sport, Odessa Jenkins, the Spartans continue to redefine excellence and legacy in pro women's football. Since the league’s inception, no team, not one has made it to the title game every single year. The Spartans have. Six seasons. Six IX Cup appearances. One unmatched dynasty.

Statement Victory Over San Diego

Coming into the Western Conference Championship, the San Diego Rebellion boasted the #1 defense in the WNFC, allowing just 9 points across the entire regular season. They were also the league’s most dominant rushing team. But none of that mattered once the Spartans took the field at Milwaukee High School in Portland, Oregon.

Texas opened the game with an explosive offensive drive and rattled off 21 unanswered points in the first half. Running back Destanie Yarborough, named Western Conference Offensive MVP, was simply unstoppable, breaking through would-be tacklers and powering the ground game all night.

The Spartans defense matched the offense's energy with a commanding performance of their own. Whitney Palmer, the Western Conference Defensive MVP, anchored a unit that shut out the Rebellion offense and delivered a back-breaking Pick IX to put the game out of reach.

Total Domination on Both Sides of the Ball

The Rebellion came in confident, but the Spartans came in surging. On a beautiful day in Portland, the defending Western Conference champs played with a chip on their shoulder and fire in their hearts. The final score: Texas Elite Spartans 36, San Diego Rebellion 0. A shutout against the most statistically dominant defense in the league.

Every phase of the game belonged to Texas. The front seven created relentless pressure. The secondary suffocated San Diego’s pass attempts. Special teams pinned the Rebellion deep repeatedly. The performance was a reminder: In big moments, nobody delivers like the Spartans.

IX Cup 2025: Dallas vs. DC

The Spartans will now face the undefeated Eastern Conference Champions, the Washington Prodigy, in what promises to be a historic showdown. The Prodigy are coached by NFL veteran and DMV native Lamont Jordan, who has led his team to their first-ever IX Cup appearance and a perfect season.

Jordan had strong words following the Prodigy’s gritty win over the Mississippi Panthers:

“We’re bringing the spirit of the Washington Commanders to Dallas.”

With undefeated momentum and an NFL pedigree on the sideline, the Prodigy are coming to challenge the heart of Texas football pride on the biggest stage.
